Baby Boy

I have not mentioned baby boy in a while!  He is still doing good!  I was almost 24 weeks, but measured 31 weeks....not good!  Dr. Alverson said we needed to do an ultrasound to make sure the baby wasn't too big and that there was not too much fluid.  I had to wait a week for the ultrasound, which was today.  Everything measured fine, and they said it was probably the way that the baby was positioned.  I was nervous, to say the least!  We got to see that sweet angel today!  He measured 25 weeks and three days, just a little big since I won't be 25 weeks until Wednesday.  They approximated him weighing 1 lb, 12 oz.  Haisley was a little bitty thing, but I have a feeling that this little fella is going to be big.  Speaking of the little fella, we still haven't picked a name.  Hopefully soon!

17 Months

Our little bundle of energy is 17 months old.  She is becoming more independent everyday, which is bittersweet for mommy!  She's started doing this thing with her fingers where she touches the edges of her lips while she smiles.  This is her attempting to do it while she eats.  She is such a sweet, funny precious baby girl.  She is a handful, but the best kind!
Some updates on the angel...
Teeth:  She has eleven teeth total.  The molars were rough!
Eating:  She LOVES to eat!  She will basically eat anything but her favorites are crackers, watermelon, corn (on the cob), and cheese.  She wants to eat all day, and yells "eat, eat" basically all day.

Sleeping:  She is still sleeping good.  She sleeps about 11 hours a  night and takes one nap a day at 10:30.  I've tried moving naptime to the afternoon, but she is so tired by that point that she doesn't sleep as long.
Size:  I don't know her weight or height, but I think she is growing like a weed.  She is still in size three diapers during the day, four at night.  Most of her play clothes are size 12 month and most dress clothes are 9 months.
Talking:  She talks up a storm!  She can repeat anything that is said.  She is even starting to put two words together.  So precious.  I call Mark's name, and now Haisley has started calling him "Mark" almost full time.  I am not going to lie, it is pretty funny.  Of course Mark prefers that she call him Daddy, so I have been making a concious effort to call him Daddy in front of her.

Some of her favorite activities are climbing in/on things,

Sucking on her paci (I'm going to get rid of it soon),

Playing/fighting with Presley,

Playing outside, blowing/eating bubbles, playing with the bouncy ball, EATING, talking on the phone, feeding her dolls, play in the rocks, pick tomatoes out of the garden (or really anything out of the garden), waller on me (I love the cuddle time), play horsey on my leg, and she loves for Mark and I to swing her as we walk.

A few phrases that she has started saying that I want to remember:
"It scares me"-especially when I get the dustbuster out
"I want some"-anything that is being eaten by anyone, she wants some
"Open, close"-She has some toys that say open when you open them, and close when you close them.  Now she thinks that when she wants something open she has to say "open, close"
"Bikickle"-for bicycle
"Wait, Wait"-not so cute, but she has started saying it when we change her diaper.
"Oh no"

We love this baby girl more than life and think she is just precious. She has her moments of tantrums, but they are easily forgotten when she is acting so sweet!

Father's Day

This year we celebrated Mark's third year of being a father (one in the womb, two outside).  Unfortunately he was sick, but we still enjoyed the weekend together.  Haisley bought him something he wanted for his grill, and let him sleep late.  HAHA, not really, those days are gone.  Haisley and I wanted him to get the full Father's day experience, so he got up when we did at about six.  He went to the doctor, then we went to Nana and Granddaddy's for some delicious lunch.  We played there for a while then ate again with Aunt Amanda's crew.  Haisley and I are so thankful for the the precious husband and Daddy we have.  Mark is truly one of the best daddy's I know!!

As I was loading these pictures, I realized that even though it was Father's Day, every single picture is of Haisley.  Sorry Daddy, we'll have a photo shoot soon!  We love you!

16 Months

My sweet angel baby is 16 months and our precious baby boy will be here in just a few short months.  We've had a busy month!  Haisley is talking up a storm these days.  It is the sweetest little voice I've ever heard.  She has even started saying "Love you."  (talking about something that melts my heart!!))  She still eats a good bit, but I can tell she is getting a little bit more picky.  She is also still sleeping good, about 11 hours a night and 1 nap a day.  She is a momma's girl, and I LOVE it!  Daddy has been away quite a bit lately for work, so we've had some girlie time together.
Daddy was out of town on Mother's day this year.  I gave Haisley her first pedicure, and we even bought some hot pink sparkling shoes.  Can't beat that...

I feel like I laugh at Haisley all the time.  She has the cutest little personality, and I think she knows it!

Haisley has really started enjoying playing with baby dolls lately.  She gives them her paci, feeds them, reads to them, burps the, and wraps them in blankets.  She loves when I do all of that to her baby dolls too!  Reading has taken a backseat to playing these days.  I wish she was interested in reading like she used to be but she is just so interested in what is going on around her!  She is such a doll baby and we feel so blessed that she's ours!!

Haisley's 16 month birthday happen to fall on Memorial day weekend.  We had a great weekend playing with family.  We went to the lake, and Haisley loved playing in the water!

It's a ....

BOY!!  We went for our big ultrasound today, and found out that we are having a BOY.  We couldn't be more excited!  More importantly, we are thankful for a healthy baby.  Everything measured perfectly and all organs are accounted for!  The baby's heartrate was 155 and was estimated to weigh 10 oz.  I had an anterior placenta with Haisley, so I couldn't feel her move until I was about 22 weeks.  This time the placenta is not in the front, and I have been feeling flutters for about a week now.  I love it!  It is so reassuring to feel him move around.
When we found out that Haisley was a baby girl, we had a big production and cut a cake to reveal a pink center.  This time, we wanted to do something special but low key.  Mark and I decided that we would have the ultrasound tech write the gender down and put it in an envelope.  Just the two of us went to dinner and opened the envelope.  It was special for us, but the suspense between the ultrasound and dinner was killing us!!  We feel so blessed and thankful for this little life!

15 Month Stats

Today my sweet baby had to go to the doctor for her 15 month check up.  She was such a big girl!  She had to get two shots and stopped crying before we left....that's progress!  These are percentages I looked up online.
Weight:  19 lbs (about 10%)
Height:  29.5 inches (about 15%)
Head Circumference:  17.5 inches

There are a few things I want to write down so that I'll remember.  One day Mark was trying to read to Haisley while I took a shower, and it wasn't long before I heard her little feet running to the bathroom.  I opened the shower curtain and she was standing there holding a book saying, "Read, Momma, Readdddd."  I mean, I basically thought it was the most precious thing ever.  She is also saying "Thank you" now without having to be reminded.  Not all the time, but more than she used to.  Whenever I spill Hutch's dog food on the floor, she is the best helper and carefully will pick each piece up and put it back in his bowl.  She is more interested in baby dolls these days too!  I realize that I have already done a 15 month post, but I couldn't resist writing what my baby girl has been doing lately.  We basically love our sweet baby girl more than life!

15 Months

My sweet angel is 15 months old!  I have no idea how I have a toddler now.  She is such a sweet blessing.  She keeps us laughing, and on our toes!  Some updates on the angel:
Teeth:  WOW!!  Teething is rough!  She is cutting a molar on her top right side, the one on the bottom right is all the way through.  She is also cutting a molar on the bottom left side.  Did I mention teething is rough?
Tricks:  Her new favorite thing is to do a back flip out of my lap.  She also loves sitting in stuff, doesn't matter if it is a box or a basket.

Eating:  The biggest update is that she is eating with a spoon!  She makes a huge mess, but she's got to learn somehow!
Sleeping:  Sleeping is still going well.  She goes down about 7 and sleeps until 6:30ish.  That's right, she's sleeping later these days.  She takes one nap a day, basically like clockwork, at 10:30.
Talking:  The girl can talk!  She will basically repeat anything you tell her to say, if she's in the mood.  She'll say about 25-30 words in the correct context without having to be prompted.  Daddy is really trying to teach her War Eagle, and I am pushing for Love You, Momma.  It is a work in progress.
Size:  I go in a couple of weeks for her 15 month check up, so I'll know her official stats then.  She is in size 3 diapers during the day, 4 at night.  She is in 9-12 month clothes.
We love our angel so much!
