Haisley's First Baby Shower

Last Saturday, Haisley had her first party! She got lots of fun stuff and we can't wait for her to get here and start playing dress up! The shower was at Cathy Davis' gorgeous house! It was hosted by Cathy, Crystal, Debra, Ashley, and Amanda

Yesterday we had another great doctor's appointment.  I get nervous before each appointment, and I am not sure that will stop until she is actually here!  We never take hearing a heartbeat for granted.  Because my blood pressure has been so high, I have to get an ultrasound every month.  I don't mind it at all; it just means I get to see my baby more than most.  We found out that she weighs 4 lbs 7 oz which is in the 47th percentile.  She is not breech anymore, which we are very excited about.  She also has a head full of hair, perfect for all the bows that she will wear.  Her heartrate was 138.  We go back in two weeks and after that we will be going every week.  She'll be here before we know it and we couldn't be more excited!

Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!  My sister and I just had doctor appointments yesterday, and both babies are doing great!  Amanda is 21 weeks pregnant and I am 30 weeks.  We are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with babies, and how fun will it be to have them so close in age!
My internship is winding down, and I am very thankful for that.  Now I can focus on getting Haisley's room ready for her arrival.  Yesterday, her heartrate was 142.  She has been moving more and more and I love it.  We go back in two weeks for an ultrasound and another checkup.  We can't wait to hold our baby girl!

Here's Haisley!!

After much discussion, we finally decided on a name...Haisley Grace.  Tomorrow, I will be 28 weeks and we can hardly wait to meet our little girl.  A lot has gone on since the last post.  Not only does she have a name, but Haisley also has bedroom furniture!  Her daddy has been busy doing things around the house to get ready for her arrival, he is currently painting her room!  We still haven't picked out any bedding, I will probably do that when my internship is over!
About two weeks ago we went for a 4D ultrasound, and little Haisley did not want to cooperate.  Her face was facing my back.  We went back a week later and she was faced the right way, but her hands were in her face the whole time.  Her lack of cooperation sounds like someone else I know...myself.  Mark will definately have his hands full if she is like me!  We go back to the doctor for a routine visit and ultrasound this week.

Of course, it appears as though she is picking her nose.  Looks like we have got a little stinker on our hands!  We are so thankful for this little girl!

The Name Game

Baby Burnette is finally moving!  She actually started moving about two weeks ago, when I was 22 weeks.  I love feeling her move, and it is very reassuring.  I had an appointment today with an ultrasound.  We got to see our sweet little girl, and she is BEAUTIFUL!  I can already tell I am going to be one of "those" moms who is always bragging on her baby!  She is 1 lb 8oz which is perfect, and her heartrate was 151.
We are trying to pick names, and I never knew how hard it was going to be to name another human.  We have narrowed our choices to Haisley Claire or Hadley Grace.  I am ready to start calling her by her name, so hopefully we will make a decision soon.  I was hoping to post pictures of my growing belly, but haven't gotten the nerve yet.  Maybe next week?!?

Halfway!!

I am twenty weeks pregnant, 20 weeks 2 days to be exact!  We are at the halfway point of the pregnancy, and very ready to meet our little girl.  I had an appointment today, and everything went good!  Her heartrate was 157, and I am measuring 22cm.  My doctor said that you should be measuring 2 cm +/- how many weeks pregnant you are.  So anywhere between 18 and 22 would be normal, and of course, I am measuring big.  Speaking of big, my belly bump is getting bigger.  I know that I will probably look back and think that I wasn't big at all at this point.  I still haven't felt any definate movement, although I have felt some things that might have been.  I might not feel anything for a few more weeks because of the placenta being in the front.  The doctor described the placenta being on the front like a pillow being in my belly blocking the movements.  I go back to the doctor October 12, and I get to have another ultrasound!!  We feel so blessed to be having a sweet baby girl!

Boy or Girl????

We are having a GIRL!!  We found out on Tuesday that we are having a sweet little girl.  I was so nervous when we went in for an ultrasound (pics to come).  We didn't care if it was a boy or girl, just as long as it was healthy, and she is!!  Everything looked great on the ultrasound, and she is measuring perfectly.  She is still due on January 29, 2012.  Her heartrate was 153 bpm, and she maybe the most beautiful baby that i've ever seen!  We still haven't picked a name, it's so hard to pick a name that she'll have forever...much more difficult then picking Hutchison's name.
I thought it would be fun to tell everyone if it is a girl or boy at the same time, so I decided to have a reveal party.  We had a cake made with pink in the center.  When we cut the cake, everyone saw that it was pink!!

And of course, Hutch is watching from his post...on the couch!!

Blogging and Baby Burnette

Mark and I have so much going on in our lives that we (mainly me) have decided to create a blog to keep up with all of it!  I think that this will be a great way to keep up with every little detail that we will want to remember!
We found out on May 25 that we will be expecting our first baby!  We are so excited, but it was quite a surprise. We had our first doctor's appointment on June 16, and we actually got to see the sweet little heartbeat.  July 18 was our next appointment, and we got to hear the heart beating, 160 bpm.  We feel so blessed and thankful!
