Haisley Grace

This sweet angel got a Fruit of the Spirit Award for goodness at school on Monday.  We are so very proud of her for showing goodness to her friends and teachers!  It seems that my baby is really growing up!   She has been so obedient and easy lately.   We are so thankful (and knocking on wood as I write this)!

Pumpkin Carving 2015

Carving a pumpkin as a family of 5 was a lot easier than I was anticipating.  Camille was so content, as usual, and the older babies were totally into it.  Haisley loved getting the gunk out of the pumpkin, Benton did not, which is shocking!  When Mark was carving the face, Benton kept saying, "That hurt me."  So funny!!

We've got all of our equipment...

Finished product!

Proof that Mommy and Camille were there!!

Camille is 2 Months

I simply cannot believe that my precious little one is 2 months old.  She is, by far, the happiest, sweetest, most content baby that we have had.  Camille is so incredibly easy to enjoy.  I feel blessed beyond measure that she was given to us!

Some updates on my precious angel...
Size:  I start with this because it is heavily on my mind!  Since Camille was about 3 days old, her weight has been an issue.  She lost a good bit of weight initially, and has had a hard time gaining ever since.  At her 2 month doctor's appointment yesterday, she weighed 9 lbs, 5 oz, which is in the 7th percentile.  The doctor didn't seem overly concerned, but did say we needed to keep a watch on it.  She is 21.5 inches long, 11%, and head circumference is 15.1 in, 53%.  She is in size 1 diapers and mostly still in newborn clothes.

Eating:  Camille eats every 3ish hours.  She is nursing, so I'm not sure how much she is getting.  When she gets a bottle, she gets between 3-4 oz and seems satisfied.

Sleeping:  At about 8 weeks, we started putting Camille in her crib in Haisley's room.  I'm not going to lie, I was anxious about how all that was going to go down, but it has been fabulous.  She has been sleeping 9 hours, sometimes longer.  We have been swaddling her in her crib, which we had not done previously.  She doesn't take a paci, something very different than the other 2.  She goes to sleep about 9 and sleeps until 6ish.  We are on NO kind of nap schedule with her yet.  She cat naps all day.  It is really hard for her to get a solid nap because we are constantly having to get up and take/pick up Benton and Haisley from various places.

Tricks:  I hate to put this in writing, but sweet Camille doesn't get a whole lot of tummy time.  With the other 2 running around, it almost seems dangerous.  We are going to try to do better!  It is so very different this time around than it was with Haisley.  I am not nearly as interested in her reaching milestones (like rolling over) quickly as I was with the first.  I am savoring each second with this sweet baby and not wanting to rush a single thing.  Camille's smiles come so easily.  She has also been talking a lot too!  She is so content and loves laying on the floor batting at the toys hanging from the mobile.  Sweetest thing EVER!!  I just adore it!

Benton's 2nd Birthday

This wild man is 2!  Oh. My. Goodness.

My precious baby is such a big boy nowadays.  He is just as wild as ever, talking up a storm, loves adventure and being outside, loves eating!  We are over the moon for you, sweet boy!

We didn't have a big birthday party for Benton, but since Mark was off of work for Columbus Day, and Haisley was at school, we thought it would be a good time to take him to lunch and give him some individual attention.  He LOVED it!  We ate at Chick-fil-A and he couldn't have been happier about it!

Nana and Granddaddy gave him a John Deer hat that he literally has not taken off since receiving it.  So precious on him!

So basically, this has been a weekend long celebration!  We went to Bob's Victory Grill with my mom, and they sang to Benton.  He didn't miss a beat on eating.  He acted like it wasn't even happening!  Love this baby boy!

Me and the birthday boy!!

Benton got a John Deer Gator this year and he LOVES it.  Have not been able to get him off of it since he got it.  He sits on it, drives it, loads/unloads it, and is basically obsessed!

We finished the day with cake.

Here are some updates on 2 year old Benton....
Talking:  Benton continues to talk more and is saying more sentences.  I can really make out what he is saying.  He still gets frustrated trying to tell us what he wants at times, but overall it is getting better.

Eating:  He still loves to eat!  Benton loves chocolate chips, applesauce, green beans, oranges (a new favorite), tomatoes, pepperoni, and anything that is on my plate.  He does not like grapes, cheese, or bread.

Teeth:  I am currently sitting at the table listen to Benton scream, and I'm pretty sure teething is the problem.  I asked him if his mouth hurt and he said yes and his tantrum stopped when I rubbed his gums.  I don't think that the 2 year molars have popped through yet, but hopefully they aren't far.  On another note, Benton no longer uses a paci!!  We got rid of his a whole year before Haisley got rid of hers.  I consider that a small victory!!!

Sleeping:  Benton still takes around a 2 hour nap each night.  He goes to bed about 7:30 and has been waking up around 5.  This is a nightmare!  I am confident that it is because he is completely soaking wet.  We've tried just about every possible diaper with no success.  Any tips are appreciated!

Tricks:  I cannot even begin to describe the daredevil that Benton is.  He is going to live on the wild side, I can tell.  He does not sit still and LOVES to climb then jump.  Keeps me on my toes.

Size:  Benton is a big boy!   He is in size 2 diapers,  wears mostly size 2 clothes,  and is growing everyday!   He had his 2 year appointment today,  here are his stats...
Weight - 30 lbs, 6 oz ~85%
Height-36.5 in~ 94%
Head Circumference-19.75 in ~92%

Benton is the absolute sweetest big brother that a mommy could ask for.  He loves holding and loving on her. He is the life of the party, keeps me laughing, and is so precious!  We love you more than you will ever know, sweet angel!  Happy Birthday to you!!
