Haisley is 23 Months

These pictures basically sum up my almost two year old.  She is funny, often times fussy, and is constantly getting into EVERYTHING!  In these pictures she is dancing with Honey Bear in Benton's room, and swinging the sound machine around like a looney toon.  She makes us laugh, and sometimes makes me cry, depending on the day!  Not too much has changed since last month.  She is basically the same size (as far as I can tell).  She still yells eat, but is hardly ever satisfied with what is given to her (she ends up hungry a lot, I try not to give in to her every demand).  She is sleeping past 4 a.m. these days...sometimes we can even get 6:30 out of her.

Haisley has really gotten into singing lately.  Some of her favorites are Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and O Holy Night.  It is so precious to hear her sing these songs, regardless of if she sings the incorrect words...it melts our hearts!  Haisley is talking so well, in my biased opinion.  She can put four and five words together and acts like she understands everything we say.  Some things I want to remember:
~Mark asked her where her cup was and she said, "Um, it should be ober (over) dare (there)."
~After watching Madagascar, she constantly says, "I like to move it move it."  While shaking her hinny.

More Christmas!!

Now that we have a little one who somewhat understand Christmas, we wanted to spend Christmas morning at home.  Sweet Nana and Granddaddy agreed to having Christmas early, and Haisley had a ball!!  Since it was Christmas at Nana and Granddaddy's, we allowed her to have a cookie at about nine in the morning.

She also got to open a gift early...a Winnie the Pooh DVD.

Helping Granddaddy figure out the DVD player.

All while finding bubbles.

Snuggling with Nana and Daddy.

Opening the rest of the gifts.

A kitchen set that she adores!!  Thank you Nana and Granddaddy!

Our sweet and precious friends brought gifts over for the babies and a delicious chicken casserole.  Thank you sweet Aunt Ashley for taking care of us!!

The precious boys...already bffs!!

Precious Payton...notice those high heels, that girl is styling!

The three of the, playing with their loot.  Notice how Ashley's girls are dressed in the most precious Christmas gear while my angel looks like a wom bom.

So today is Christmas Eve, Haisley has been complaining of an ear ache and we have to make cookies for Santa.  After lots of Motrin, we're able to get the strength up to make and decorate cookies.  It turned into a complete mess.  Haisley had a BALL!!

Do y'all see this out of control little thing.  She ate a LOT of sugar sprinkles.

She picked every color and sprinkle that was placed on these cookies.  Each time she exclaimed that "Santa was gonna love 'em"

I told Haisley that we were gonna write a note to Santa. She dictated to me what she wanted written.  In case you can't read it, "Dear Santa Claus, Carrots are for your reindeer.  Frosty has a carrot nose.  These carrots are for you, Santa.  Thank you for the presents.  That's it, Santa.  Love, Haisley and Benton."  Too funny if you ask me!!

They look thrilled to be taking a picture with their mommy, right??

During all the madness we also made homeade cinnamon rolls.  They were incredible!!

2 Months

Wow!  This month has been crazy.  I feel like the children and I have been sick the entire month!  We are finally on the mends!!  When I asked Mark what he wanted me to include in this blog post he said, "Ummm, he has been sick the whole time, not as content as he used to be, and he smiles a lot."  Wow Mark, but to put it shortly, that really does sum it up!  He is a sweet little thing, actually, he is pretty big!  We go next week for our 2 month checkup, so I'll post his stats then.
Eating:  He has been eating about every 2.5-3 hours.  He is still nursing so we really don't know how much he is getting.
Sleeping:  He is on absolutely no napping schedule.  He has been sleeping in his crib at night for quite a while now.  Sometimes we are up every 3 hours eating, and sometimes he makes it 8-9 hours.
Tricks:  He is speaking Spanish.  No, but really, he is holding his head up really good, smiling a lot, cooing, and really tracking very well with his eyes.  He started rolling over the day after he turned 2 months, just from his tummy to back.  He has had limited tummy time.  Since he had RSV and could hardly breathe, we didn't want to complicate things even more by putting him on his tummy.  We're going to try and do better this next month.
Size:  Benton is still in size one diapers, but I think Santa is bringing size 2.  He is grown out of his newborn clothes, and is in mostly 0-3 month stuff.  He is definately much bigger than Haisley!  We have been doing so much fun fall and Christmas activities, so he has been on the go!  Most of the time he is pretty laid back about it all!  Some pictures of our month:

He loves bath time, but hates getting out in the cold!

Precious angel smiles away on his changing table!

He was sick and pitiful in this pictures.  So happy this love bug is feeling better!

Decking the halls!  He looks really happy to be in this Santa suit.

Christmas Festivities Part 2

Haisley is at such a fun age this Christmas.  Old enough to somewhat understand what is going on, young enough to get into the spirit of things.  Love. It!  So we continue our Christmas activities by decorating a gingerbread man.  I got her seated, got the camera out, turned around and she had already started eating it.

We went to the Rocky Brook Rocket Reindeer Express this year.  That is quite a mouthful!  Haisley LOVED the lights and the music.  We took pictures with Santa, rode the train, and enjoyed looking at all the lights.  Benton stayed cozy in his carseat!
Haisley probably saying, "But why?"

The girls rode the train while the boys held the fort down in at the train station.

Precious gingerbread house!  Of course Haisley has her paci...I promise it is gone on January 27, the day after her 2nd birthday!

Haisley was not loving Santa.  The only thing that she wants Santa to bring her are cookies.

Benton was over the picture taking.  I've made them sit in front of this Christmas tree and take pictures so much that today Haisley said she wanted to hold Benton, then ran over to the tree and sat down.  Out of control.

We are loving this Christmas season!
