Haisley Grace at 3.5

This sweet thing is 3.5 years old.  My, how the time has FLOWN by!  I cannot believe the little girl that Haisley has become, truly not a baby anymore.  It is so hard to put her personality into words.  She is very strong willed, smart, witty, bossy, articulate and precious.  She is an excellent big sister to Benton, and I am sure she will be to her little sister as well.  Haisley keeps us laughing and doesn't miss a beat.  She loves:  dress up, sweets, cuddling with her momma, staying up with us after Benton goes to sleep, playing with friends, going places, cooking, and gymnastics.  She does not like:  going to bed (although she goes and sleeps through the night without waking up), getting sweaty outside, sitting at home all day, going to the doctor, going potty.
We still have to remind Haisley to go potty, we might still have to when she's 10...
She is still a petite little thing, weighing in at about 28 lbs, wears mostly size 2T in boutique clothes, 3T in play clothes.  She is in size 7 shoes.

Mommy and Daddy are so proud of the sweet smart girl that you are!  We love you so much!  Thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives!

2015 Funny Stuff Haisley Says

Haisley is saying too many cute things for me to not be writing them down.   I know I have missed some,  so I'm going to start keeping a running list.

February:
She kept throwing wooden blocks across the room.   Finally,  when she disobeyed the 3rd time,  I told her that if she did it again that we would have to go to her room for time out.   She said,  "But I have to keep throwing them,  it's my project.   I didn't get to throw anything all day yesterday."

On the way to the gym..."Mommy, when we get home,  I want a sandwich.   (Pause) Except I don't want ham,  cheese,  or mustard."
Me- "So you want bread?"
Haisley- "Yes, I'll take some bread."

March:
Haisley knows that when we are done praying at night, mommy and daddy leave the room and she has to go to bed.  She has realized that the longer her prayer is, the longer we'll stay in there.  Her most recent prayer was for Jack and Jill, who ran up the hill.

April:
Me-"Haisley, Benton is in your room, can you go check on him?
Haisley-"No because he is ripping and roaring through there."

July :
"Can we please name the baby Tyronee?"

"My hands are sore from pinching people."

Haisley has become increasingly difficult to put to bed at night.   Tonight,  we put her to bed and she started yelling Daddy, daddy.   Mark went in there and Haisley wanted to know why Jesus died on the cross.   She is no fool!   She totally knew he would stay in there and explain it.

Benton at 21 Months

This sweet thang is 21 months and a pure bundle of energy.  He makes us laugh, ensures that we never have a dull moment, and lights up our lives!  I had no idea how wild life could be until I had a little boy.  It is so weird calling him a little boy, but that is what he is turning into right before our eyes.  I have never known a child who enjoys life more than Benton does.  He is happy and easy going most of the time!  Some updates on our angel baby...

Teeth:  I mean I seriously have been expecting Benton's 2 year molars to pop up any second, but nothing yet.  He has been chewing on his fingers and acting a little fussy lately, so I figure it won't be long now.

Eating:  The boy still loves to eat.  I have noticed that he likes milk more nowadays, but we normally just give him one glass a day.  It is safe to say that he will eat just about anything.  His favorite breakfast food is sausage.  There are only a few things that he doesn't like....pb&j sandwich and cheese are the only things coming to mind at the moment.

Talking:  Benton is talking a lot more these days.  He will attempt to say most of the things that you ask him to repeat.  Ball, thank you, momma, daddy, please, dog, truck, sausage, and bat are a few that come to mind.

Tricks:  Benton boy is a dare devil.  He is fearless and has many tricks that make me a nervous wreck!

Size:  I think he weighs about 28 pounds.  He is in 2T clothes, size 5 diapers during the day and size 6 at night.

Sleeping:  Benton takes a pretty consistent nap from 1-3.  He goes down for bed about 7:30 and (knock on wood) has been sleeping until about 6.  He cries some during the night, but we do not get him.  Hopefully, he will be completely sleeping through the night by the time baby sissy gets here!

Trying to pee through the rails.  He is also wearing orange boxer briefs in this picture...not even close to being potty trained!

JJ gave the babies a ride in the baby pool!  They LOVED it!

4th of July 2015

We had a very busy, but fun, 4th of July this year!  Saturday morning, we woke up early (as usual), and headed to see the Wood's at the lake.  Haisley was so excited to be spending time with her friends, and Bama Park did not disappoint.  We arrived in time for the golf car parade.  Haisley got to ride in the parade and has been talking about it ever since.  After the parade we played in the lake then took a boat ride.  We enjoyed our time there so much!  After we left, we went to the farm to visit Nana and Granddaddy for a bit.  We finished the night with fireworks.  Haisley was not a fan, she ended up sitting the car with Daddy.  Benton enjoyed them, but was mainly just tired!

One of the golf carts in the parade.  You can see that even Uncle Sam was there!

The boys were having a blast in every single puddle that they came across.
And Benton thoroughly enjoyed his snow cone!
