The Rest Of Christmas

Santa Came!!  This was one of the most enjoyable Christmas's I've ever had.  It was so much fun watching Haisley get her presents!

This picture was right after Santa Came!

These are pictures of her opening presents.

Even Benton got in on the action!  I'm sure he'll be more involved next year!

After Christmas at our house, we headed over to Aunt Amanda's.  The kids had a ball!

Our only family photo from Christmas.  I am over trying to get the children to slap on a fake smile for pictures.  If they don't want to smile, that is what I'm getting a picture of.  At least twenty years from now, they'll know how they really acted!

We had so much fun this Christmas.  We hope that our babies will remember the real reason for Christmas as they get older!!  Merry Christmas!

Haisley is 23 Months

These pictures basically sum up my almost two year old.  She is funny, often times fussy, and is constantly getting into EVERYTHING!  In these pictures she is dancing with Honey Bear in Benton's room, and swinging the sound machine around like a looney toon.  She makes us laugh, and sometimes makes me cry, depending on the day!  Not too much has changed since last month.  She is basically the same size (as far as I can tell).  She still yells eat, but is hardly ever satisfied with what is given to her (she ends up hungry a lot, I try not to give in to her every demand).  She is sleeping past 4 a.m. these days...sometimes we can even get 6:30 out of her.

Haisley has really gotten into singing lately.  Some of her favorites are Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and O Holy Night.  It is so precious to hear her sing these songs, regardless of if she sings the incorrect words...it melts our hearts!  Haisley is talking so well, in my biased opinion.  She can put four and five words together and acts like she understands everything we say.  Some things I want to remember:
~Mark asked her where her cup was and she said, "Um, it should be ober (over) dare (there)."
~After watching Madagascar, she constantly says, "I like to move it move it."  While shaking her hinny.

More Christmas!!

Now that we have a little one who somewhat understand Christmas, we wanted to spend Christmas morning at home.  Sweet Nana and Granddaddy agreed to having Christmas early, and Haisley had a ball!!  Since it was Christmas at Nana and Granddaddy's, we allowed her to have a cookie at about nine in the morning.

She also got to open a gift early...a Winnie the Pooh DVD.

Helping Granddaddy figure out the DVD player.

All while finding bubbles.

Snuggling with Nana and Daddy.

Opening the rest of the gifts.

A kitchen set that she adores!!  Thank you Nana and Granddaddy!

Our sweet and precious friends brought gifts over for the babies and a delicious chicken casserole.  Thank you sweet Aunt Ashley for taking care of us!!

The precious boys...already bffs!!

Precious Payton...notice those high heels, that girl is styling!

The three of the, playing with their loot.  Notice how Ashley's girls are dressed in the most precious Christmas gear while my angel looks like a wom bom.

So today is Christmas Eve, Haisley has been complaining of an ear ache and we have to make cookies for Santa.  After lots of Motrin, we're able to get the strength up to make and decorate cookies.  It turned into a complete mess.  Haisley had a BALL!!

Do y'all see this out of control little thing.  She ate a LOT of sugar sprinkles.

She picked every color and sprinkle that was placed on these cookies.  Each time she exclaimed that "Santa was gonna love 'em"

I told Haisley that we were gonna write a note to Santa. She dictated to me what she wanted written.  In case you can't read it, "Dear Santa Claus, Carrots are for your reindeer.  Frosty has a carrot nose.  These carrots are for you, Santa.  Thank you for the presents.  That's it, Santa.  Love, Haisley and Benton."  Too funny if you ask me!!

They look thrilled to be taking a picture with their mommy, right??

During all the madness we also made homeade cinnamon rolls.  They were incredible!!
