Our little blessing has arrived!

Our little Haisley made her appearance on January 26 at 11:30 pm.  She weighed in at 6 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long.  To say that we feel blessed is an understatement.  We truly feel as though she is a wonderful gift from God.  Hal Cooper visited in the hospital  and told us that having a child would make us better understand God's love for us that He gave up His child for sinners like us.  He was right!  I never knew that I would love somebody the way that I love this sweet baby.  She is so precious and I am trying to cherish every second that goes by. 

The only people that were allowed to see me in the laboring condition were Mark, my mom, and sister.  That laboring business is hard work!  These pictures were taken at the beginning...it went downhill from here.  I threw up, the whole nine yards.  I was in labor 12 1/2 hours and pushed for 1 and a half.  I even recall telling Mark that we would not be having any more children.   One look at my baby girl changed that!

Haisley had many visitors while we were in the hosptial, but we neglected to take pictures of everyone.  We'll know for the next child.

7 days...but who's counting?!?

Haisley will be here in 7 days...at the most!!  Because of my high blood pressure during this pregnancy, Dr. Alverson is inducing me on January 26, three days before my birthday and her due date!  I went to the doctor today and everything is progressing.  I am 2.5 cm and 80% dilated.  I am very disgusted with how I look pregnant, but I feel like Haisley will want to know what her mommy looked when she was in my belly.  This is a picture from 35 weeks...

We have slowly been putting Haisley's room together, and it is finally starting to look like a nursery.

Haisley wants to tell the story:  It all started when daddy started putting my crib together.

Then, he made me a closet that would fit all of my clothes that mommy insisted that I have.

And this little angel is almost crawling...I can't believe it.

The Countdown Begins

I am 36 weeks and 5 days pregnant today!  I feel like I have been pregnant forever...but only a couple more weeks to go.  I have had high blood pressure during this pregnancy, so I have been getting an ultrasound every month and a nonstress test every week for the past several weeks.  I have enjoyed getting so many pictures of our little girl before she even gets here!  Today we had our monthly ultrasound along with the weekly NST.  Everything looked good!  The ultrasound showed that she has a full head of hair and the lady doing the ultrasound even commented about how long it looked.  We'll be taking bows to the hospital!  She weighs about 6 lbs 8oz.  I am 1.5 cm dialated and about 50 % effaced, and if I don't have her before January 26th my doctor will induce.  We are busy finishing the last details of her nursery and anxiously awaiting her arrival! 

Haisley's First Baby Shower

Last Saturday, Haisley had her first party! She got lots of fun stuff and we can't wait for her to get here and start playing dress up! The shower was at Cathy Davis' gorgeous house! It was hosted by Cathy, Crystal, Debra, Ashley, and Amanda

Yesterday we had another great doctor's appointment.  I get nervous before each appointment, and I am not sure that will stop until she is actually here!  We never take hearing a heartbeat for granted.  Because my blood pressure has been so high, I have to get an ultrasound every month.  I don't mind it at all; it just means I get to see my baby more than most.  We found out that she weighs 4 lbs 7 oz which is in the 47th percentile.  She is not breech anymore, which we are very excited about.  She also has a head full of hair, perfect for all the bows that she will wear.  Her heartrate was 138.  We go back in two weeks and after that we will be going every week.  She'll be here before we know it and we couldn't be more excited!

Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!  My sister and I just had doctor appointments yesterday, and both babies are doing great!  Amanda is 21 weeks pregnant and I am 30 weeks.  We are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with babies, and how fun will it be to have them so close in age! 
My internship is winding down, and I am very thankful for that.  Now I can focus on getting Haisley's room ready for her arrival.  Yesterday, her heartrate was 142.  She has been moving more and more and I love it.  We go back in two weeks for an ultrasound and another checkup.  We can't wait to hold our baby girl!

Here's Haisley!!

After much discussion, we finally decided on a name...Haisley Grace.  Tomorrow, I will be 28 weeks and we can hardly wait to meet our little girl.  A lot has gone on since the last post.  Not only does she have a name, but Haisley also has bedroom furniture!  Her daddy has been busy doing things around the house to get ready for her arrival, he is currently painting her room!  We still haven't picked out any bedding, I will probably do that when my internship is over!
About two weeks ago we went for a 4D ultrasound, and little Haisley did not want to cooperate.  Her face was facing my back.  We went back a week later and she was faced the right way, but her hands were in her face the whole time.  Her lack of cooperation sounds like someone else I know...myself.  Mark will definately have his hands full if she is like me!  We go back to the doctor for a routine visit and ultrasound this week.

 

Of course, it appears as though she is picking her nose.  Looks like we have got a little stinker on our hands!  We are so thankful for this little girl!
