Benton Boy is 14 Months

This little fella is 14 months old.  He is growing by leaps and bounds and his personality has come out more in the last 2 weeks than ever!  He is so sweet, determined, loves to eat, and very adventurous.  He is into EVERYTHING and I NEVER sit down during his waking hours. 

My little doodlebugs.  This is Benton's first sucker.  By the way, Haisley didn't have her first sucker until a few months ago.  Things change with the second child, no doubt!

Getting this litttle guy to look at the camera is certainly a challenge.  Having a 14 month paper sign is basically out of the question...

Benton's new favorite activity is riding the Gator with Cooper.  Actually, he can be having a very fussy day, but when we go to Sara Buff's house, he is all smiles!  Must be all the fun toys and good company!

Benton Boy loves his paci still.  Who am I kidding, both babies do. 

Some updates on our sweet thang:

Eating:   Benton is an excellent eater.  He absolutely loves strawberries.  They are his favorite and we go through 2 containers from Sam's(the big pack...) per week.  He isn't very picky.  He'll eat anything that we're eating!  He is still getting frozen breast milk, about 12-16 oz per day. No sign of us running out anytime soon. 

Sleeping:  Benton is an excellent napper in the sense that we can put him in the crib awake, walk out, and he soothes himself to sleep.  He still takes 2 naps per day.  He wakes up VERY early, so sometimes he'll go down for his morning nap around 7:30.  Both babies nap in the afternoon from 1-3 pretty consistently.  He goes to bed about 6:45-7 and sleeps until 5ish.  

Teeth:  12 total, 4 of those are molars.  I think that he might also be cutting his eye teeth.  

Tricks:  He is a climber!!  On chairs, on the doll house, on the rocking horse, literally crawls on EVERYTHING.  He has jumped into the Christmas tree a couple of times, so that has been interesting.  In the last 2 weeks he has taken an interest in reading.  He loves to go get books and have them read to him.  So sweet! 

Talking:  Still not too much to report in this area.  He has said Mama, Bye Bye, a version of Waffle, Apple, and Cooper.  He really points and tries to get us to understand what he wants.  

Size:  He is still in size 4 diapers.  I think he weighs about 23 pounds.  He is in size 18 month clothes.  

We love you so very much sweet boy!  You are a joy to our family and we can't remember life before you!!
