5 Months

Our little toot is 5 months!!!

Speaking of little toots, she doesn't know her name yet, or either she just choses to ignore me.  She turns when someone else says her name, but I don't know if she actually knows it or is just turning to the sound of a new voice.  It wouldn't shock me if she didn't know it because I call her pet names all the time.  Her little personality is coming out more everyday and it is so much fun!  For the child to not be able to crawl, I certainly feel like she is on the move a lot.  She loves to play in her bouncy thing and on the floor.  Above all else, she likes to be held and try to squirm out of your hands.  She is rotten!!  She is talking a lot more in the last week!  We have been expecting a tooth to pop up any day now, but nothing yet.  She is drooling, not sleeping, and nawing on everything!  She wants to stand up all of the time, and we are still practicing sitting up!  I am guessing that she weighs about 14 lbs.  As mentioned earlier, the sleeping has gone down hill in the last few weeks.  She wakes several times during the night...we're hoping it's just a phase.  She is letting other people hold her now, which gives momma a break.  She is taking most naps in her crib these days thanks to Debra Roberts!!  What an angel?!?  She came over one afternoon when I was at my wits end and put her down for a nap in that crib and she just went to sleep like it was no big deal! She is eating about every 3.5 hours.  I plan on breastfeeding her through her 6 month birthday then weaning her.  I have enough breast milk saved for the remainder of her first year.  We just started her in size 2 diapers, ones still fit, but we ran out and have a lot of 2's so we made the switch!  She is still in 3 month smocked clothes and  3-6 month Carter's clothes.

We started oatmeal when she turned four months...she didn't (and doesn't) love it.  We tried green beans last night and a I think she likes that more than oatmeal.

We also took a picture of her sweet little legs after her 4 month shots

We didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked to this month, but here are the few that we did take...

This is little Haisley Grace, playing in the pool while her granddaddy holds an umbrella over her so she doesn't get too much sun...spoiled.

4 Months

Our little angel is already 4 months old!

Where has the time gone?!?  She is doing new things everyday and it is so much fun!  We are falling more in love with her (if that is possible) with every squeal she makes! She is laughing, talking up a storm and squealing all of the time these days!  It is adorable!  She started rolling from her back to her belly about two weeks ago. When she started doing this, we decided it was time to stop swaddling her at night...and it has been rough.  She went from sleeping 10-12 hours to waking up every hour or so.  We went to her 4 month appointment today and the doctor said to let her cry it out.  OOOOO so hard!  We are going to work on it though.  To say that the child is spoiled is an understatement!  She will only nap when Mark or I am holding her.  We are going to work on that too!

I am still breastfeeding (only by the grace of God because she really puts up a fight), so I am not sure how much she is getting at each feeding.  She is definately gaining weight!  The doctor told me today that we need to start her on rice cereal...which is exciting and sad.  My baby is growing up!

Her stats this month:
Length:  23.75 inches~25%
Weight: 12 lbs, 8 oz ~ 15%
Head: 15.5 in~ 25%

As mentioned earlier, she is doing more tricks everyday.  She plays with toys now, and we even got her a jumper thing that she really enjoys!

We have to prop her up a bit, but she enjoys it nonetheless.  She has also found her feet.

She is still wearing size 1 diapers, and size 3 month clothes.

We have had a very busy month!
We celebrated our first mother's day.  Daddy and Haisley made me a card that I will treasure always!

Haisley played with her toys
We went to the pool

3 Months

I realize that every time I add a post, I mention that the time is flying by...but it really is.  I cannot believe that we have a 3 month old!  She is doing more every single day.  Even in the last week, she has been smiling so much more.  She has been making gurgling noises that are just adorable!  She continues to roll over from her stomach to her back, but is not rolling the other way.  She is batting at toys that are in front of her.  She loves lights, any light, even the lights in the car!  She is wearing mostly three month outfits these days.  We don't have a doctor's appointment this month, but I go to a breastfeeding thing at the hospital for a weekly weigh-in and today she weighed 10 lbs, 14 oz.

This month, Haisley has....

Presley Is Here and Easter

Sweet Presley has arrived!!!

We also celebrated  Easter this past Sunday.  It was Haisley's first Easter, and she even got her first Easter basket.  I told her that we celebrated Easter because Jesus died, but he rose again!  I'm pretty sure that she understood because she certainly smiled a lot!  After we went to church, we stopped by Presley's house for a quick visit, and then off to the farm we went to visit Nana and Granddaddy.  Haisley got a teething toy, a rattle, several books, two outfits and money!

Here is little bit with her Easter basket from the Easter bunny.

Presley is really excited that we came by for a visit!

Haisley with her gift from JJ.

My child cries quit often.

Sweet cousins.

After we left Presley's house, we headed to the farm to visit with Nana, Granddaddy, Brad, and Meredith.

We had a great Easter and are so thankful to our Savior who is the reason we celebrate!
