Benton Boy is 11 Months

He was done with the picture taking, but Haisley was not!

He was clearly ready to be done with picture taking!

There is no better way to turn 11 months than at the beach!!

This little boy is such a joy and brings so much happiness to our family.  He is so laid back and easy going!  We could not imagine life without this sweet thing!  I CANNOT believe he will be 1 year old next month.  Time, slow down!!  Some updates on our angel bug!

Eating:   This little guy LOVES to eat!  He isn't picky either!  He is excellent and feeding himself, he even prefers it!  He is very messy, but what can you expect from an 11 month old feeding himself??  He gets many sink baths after dinner!  I am not nursing him anymore, but he is still getting breastmilk.  Matter of fact, I have so much saved that he'll probably be getting it when he is 10!!  He takes all of his drinks from a sippy cup.  He has about 16 oz of breastmilk a day!

Sleeping-Mark disagrees, but I don't think that sleeping could be going much better.  Mark is most dissatisfied with the hour in which Benton wakes. However, we put him in his bed awake and he goes right to sleep.  With the exception of an ear infection, he sleeps from about 7 pm until 5 ish.  We can't ask for much more than that.  He takes two naps a day, one by about 8 and one in the afternoon when Haisley naps, about 1.

Teeth-This angel bug has 8 teeth!!  So precious!.

Tricks-Benton is excellent at throwing a ball!  He claps for himself, and is very independent.  He has no problem crawling into a room by himself.  He is into EVERYTHING.  I try reading to him, but he would much rather be on the go.  He is so close to walking!  He nods his head when asked a question.

Talking-Benton is saying a few things.  He says dada and mamamama mainly.

Size-Benton is much  bigger than Haisley was at this age.  Bless his heart, he has had several ear infections lately, but the upside of that is that we know how much he weighs!  20.4 lbs.  He is in size 4 diapers, and mainly 12 month clothes.

Benton loves drinking out of my cup, playing outside, pulling out everything in the kitchen cabinets, walking along the furniture and playing with toys.  He does not like being strapped in his carseat (although he does ok once he is in it!) and getting his diaper changed, other than that, he is VERY easy going!  We love you sweet baby!  You are so precious to your mommy and daddy, and your sissy adores you!

A Week of First for our Haisley

This was a week of first for our sweet girl!  We'll start with Preschool.  Thursday, September 4th, was Haisley's first day of 2 year old preschool.  She did GREAT!!  She loved her teachers, Mrs. Carmello and Mrs. Matz.  I am so excited for a great year at AUMC!

Her sweet teachers were kind enough to send me a couple of pictures of their day!  So precious!

Haisley and her teachers at "Meet the Teacher."

She also had her first day of ballet.  What a disaster that was!  She was so excited about going that she didn't want to eat her snack.  The whole time during ballet she was screaming the she was hungry and wanted Chick-fil-a.  I hear ya, girl.  It sounded great to me too!  Hopefully, she'll do better next time!

We ended the week with Haisley's first football game of the season!  To say that she had a blast is an understatement.  I think she would have stayed in the stadium all night!  I think her favorite thing was seeing the eagle fly!  So much fun!  I can't wait for Benton to be able to go!
Some other pictures of our girl.  If you notice, the rug is up in the living room with a puke bucket on top.  We have spent the week with a stomach bug.  It. Was. Awful!  Hopefully we're over the worst of it!
I was so sick that I was laying on the couch and had no idea these shenanigans were going on behind my legs.

Tailgating 2014 (Benton's 1st Experience)

Tailgating 2014 started off with a BANG!!  Both children were under the weather and it poured down rain!  BUT, nothing was going to stop us from enjoying the first game of the season!  We walked from our house to the tailgate spot and enjoyed playing with Nana and Granddaddy!

Sweet Cousin Hunter came by for a visit!  He even rocked Benton Boy for a bit!!

All the tailgating can really wear the kids out....Momma too!

Luckily, we were able to go into one of the buildings when the weather got really bad!
Did I mention our babies were sick??  Benton had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic that he was on for an ear infection.  To top it all off, Haisley started throwing up when we got home.  Fun times!!
My little Cheerleader!

 Sweet love bug angel baby!!

Sweet Nana and Granddaddy got Benton Boy an Auburn hat!!

Haisley was not thrilled to be held by anyone but Mommy.
This is usually how it goes at our house...Momma holding both.
Nana and Grandaddy with 3 of the grands! Haisley was not feeling her best and was not on board with picture taking!!
