14 Months

Look at this sweet face....

is there any wonder why I am so in love??

Time keeps on chugging along!  The baby is now 14 months!  WOW!  This is the most fun stage yet!  Her little personality is in full swing and she definately keeps us laughing!

Some updates on the angel baby:

Eating-The girl is definately a big eater, which translates into a big pooper.  I mean we're talking 5-6 times a day.  (TMI??  She'll want to know when she is older, I think.)  There really isn't anything that she doesn't like.  Broccoli, any type of fruit, and crackers are her favorites.  Mark and I have to spell out the word cracker in front of her, and she is limited to about two a day.  She is getting between 4-6oz of milk at each meal.  Sometimes she gets breast milk, sometimes regular milk and sometimes a mix.  Whatever is easiest at the time.  This will be the last month of breast milk, my freezer full is almost gone.
Her weight at the hospital on Tuesday was 18 lbs, 10 oz!  My growing baby!

Sleeping-No new news.  Still going great!  She sleeps with about 4 pacis in her crib.  She doesn't have a blankie, but will feel around her crib until she has all of her pacis under her arm.  Breaking her of that is going to be tricky!

Teeth-She got two new teeth last week.  One molar tooth is starting to appear on the bottom right, she is also getting a front tooth on the bottom right.  Getting her to open her mouth so I can look is really difficult.

Tricks-She is running!  About two weeks ago she started standing up without pulling up on anything.  She will point to her ears when you ask her, and when sitting in your lap, she will point to your eyes and say "eye."  She loves riding in her car, swinging, and going down the slide.  She is such a little cuddle bug.  I love that!

Talking-I think that this is such a fun stage because all of the talking she is doing!  She will pretty much repeat any word that you tell her to say.  This only started about two weeks ago.  She also says several words without having to be prompted.  Cracker, Mama, Dada, dog, Hutch, duck, apple, car, cheese, cup, up, orange,
and outside are a few that I can remember right now.

We had a very eventful month!!

We attended an Easter egg hunt at church!  It had to be moved inside because of the weather, but Haisley still enjoyed it.  These were taken at home before we left so she could practice.

Daddy helping her gather the eggs at church.  She just wanted to walk through them and sit in the middle of them.

They turned the water in the fountain in front of the church purple and Haisley LOVED it!

There was even a petting zoo!

We also did some fishing this month.  Of course, Haisley insisted on wearing her bubble that had a fish on it.  What can I say, the girl is theme oriented.

The little bit got a new stroller (not as bulky as the old one), and a new carseat that is front facing.  We are all happier now!  She loved playing with the boxes!

Some random pics with precious outfits that our sweet Aunt Ashley let us borrow!

And the highlight of the month for me, JJ bought Haisley materials for her first "journal," kindergarten style!!  I LOVE IT!  Anybody who really knows me knows that I am constantly trying to teach Haisley stuff, so a journal is PERFECT!!!  Gotta love that JJ taught children how to write for 30 years!

Non-toxic markers that ended up on her lips/in her mouth.  No biggie, right?

13 Months

I thought that after Haisley turned one I would stop posting monthly updates.  I'm not going to.  She's doing too many things that I need to keep track of!
Tricks:  She is practically running!  She still has to pull up on something to get going, but after that, there's no stopping her!  She loves patty cake, playing in cabinets (as mentioned in an earlier post), giving sweet hugs, reading (it's her favorite), and snuggling!
Talking:  Mama!!  The baby is finally saying mama-it is in an Italian accent, so precious!  She definately has a lot to say.  We really can't make out too much of what it is, but she wants so badly for us to understand.  She is also saying cracker.  She had a graham cracker at Bamama's house so now she walks around saying cracker, cracker.
Eating:  ANYTHING!  The girl loves to eat!  Three meals and two snacks a day.
Size:  My baby is itty bitty!  She has been sick with a terrible UTI the last week which caused prefuse vomiting and diarrhea, and weighed in at 17 lbs, 1 oz at the doctor on her 13 month birthday.  She is in size three diapers, 4 at night.  She is in 6/9 month clothes.
Sleeping:  Couldn't be going better!  We put her in her crib awake and she goes to sleep.  Very different than her 12 month update!  She's also taking pretty good naps.
Basically she is the most precious, adorable blessing ever.  We love her more than she'll ever know!  She has got the sweetest little personality.  Love. Her.

Pictures of Haisley playing with Mommy and Daddy:

Haisley went to Payton's birthday party and had a blast!  She wasn't feeling her best but still enjoyed the precious party favors that Payton gave her!

And this last picture was when I was trying to get her to play when she was sick.  Poor baby!

Valentine's Festivities and Haisley Pictures

Mark gave me beautiful flowers for my birthday!  So sweet!

Haisley made out like a bandit this Valentine's Day.  She made forty dollars, got a hat, and is promised some red velvet pancakes sometime this weekend!  Of course she didn't realize what all the fuss was about, but she did enjoy some sweet treats since she rarely gets any.  The following are some pictures of the Valentine cards she made for her grandparents and her daddy.  She LOVED the heart stickers.

Haisley is too funny!  Her little personality is coming out more by the day.  She is practically running these days and keeps her Daddy and I very busy.  Our sweet baby is sleeping like a CHAMP these days!  She goes to sleep around 6:30 and sleeps until 6 ish the next morning.  No rocking or fussing, we just put her in there awake and she puts herself to sleep.  We look at each other all the time and ask if it is just too good to be true.  She is also taking two naps a day.  I realize that I just gave an update on Miss Haisley two weeks ago, but I feel like she has become such a big girl in just that short of time.  Walking has really made a difference!  That angel is eating everything in sight.  I literally cannot keep the child full.  She wants to eat all the time, we try our best to feed her healthy snacks, like fruit.

Her favorite activity while I am washing dishes:

She's a silly little thing.  She discovered she could talk and see through the strainer.

She loves getting in small spaces.

And just playing in general.  Such a sweet blessing she is!

And lastly, her new favorite food...linguini!

My baby is growing up!

Starting last Monday, I have been putting Haisley in her crib awake for her naps and to go to sleep at night.  It absolutely could not be going any better.  She acts as though she prefers being in her bed and has been sleeping GREAT!  Yesterday was a big day of firsts.  We left Haisley with my mom for the night, the first time since she's been born.  We also put her high chair in the attic and set up the booster chair.  She's officially off of bottles as well, as they have also been put in the attic.  She's a walking girl these days too!  My angel is getting so big.  She's such a sweet blessing to us!
