My precious, cutie is 9 months old!  He is such an adorable baby doll, I could just love and squeeze him all day.  He has been such a busy little guy this month.  Here are some updates on the doodlebug...

Teeth:  The two teeth on top finally broke through, and I can also feel one to the left of the top two teeth.  I can see a white knob on the right of the top two teeth, but can't feel it yet, so I am not counting it yet.  5 total that I can count.

Sleeping:  ...or should I label it nightmare???  Sleeping is not under control.  Matter of fact, it is out of control completely.  Now that Benton is more mobile, he sits up the instant that he is placed in his bed.  It is awful.  He takes about 2 naps a day.  He usually goes to sleep around 7 pm, wakes up all night, then gets up for the day around 5.  Momma and Daddy are exhausted.  I know we have to let him cry it out.  We were letting him cry it out, but he got sick and there is no way I could let my baby scream in the bed when he was sick.

Eating:  That baby boy likes to eat.  We're not talking baby food, we are talking whatever is on momma's plate.  He does an excellent job of feeding himself.  He is still nursing, but we will probably switch to a sippy cup of breast milk during the day very soon.  He loves drinking water out of a sippy cup, so I think it will be an easy transition.  He can also drink out of a straw!

Tricks:  Our sweet Benton started crawling about a week after he turned 8 months.  He is EVERYWHERE!  He is pulling up on everything and acts like he loves the extra mobility.  Haisley always wanted to be help and pretty much stayed right up under me.  Benton is not like that at all.  He has no problem crawling into a room by himself.  He can even move along the couch.

Talking:  Benton says "dadada," and a version of "bye bye."

Size:  Our little guy is growing by leaps and bounds.  He is in size 4 diapers, and mostly 12 month clothes.
Weight:  18 lbs 14 oz 50%
Length:  28 in~50%
Head Circumference:  17.75 in ~75

July 4th, 2014

We had a blast this July 4th!  We spent the 4th with Nana and Granddaddy at the farm.  On the 5th, we went to the lake with the sweet Wood family!  We all had so much fun!  We played in the lake, rode the boat, Haisley rode on the wave runner, she also rode on the tube!  Thank you so much sweet Aunt Ashley for letting us come!

The boys hanging out.

I love this picture.  Benton's first friend!

Our American flag cake!

My precious angel bug!

What is that in her mouth, you ask?  It is a paci.  That's right, she steals from Benton!
My little firecracker!

Speaking of firecrackers, Benton had his first firework experience this year.  Not only did he get to see the fireworks on Auburn on Friday night, he also got to see them at the lake!  He slept through the ones at the lake, but was there!!

My Funny Girl

I'm not sure if it is because I am her momma, but I think that Haisley says the funniest things sometimes.  The other morning, I was getting her ready for Children's Day Out, and the following was our conversation.  I wanted to record it on my blog so I would always remember!

H: Mommy, I don't want to go to school, I'm scared.
Me: Jesus doesn't want us to be scared, he is going to take care of you.
H: So is he going to pick me up early?

To anyone who knows Haisley, this picture of crackers everywhere does not come as a shock.

And lastly, for the most random update ever written on a blog, Haisley has all of her 2-year molars.

Benton is 8 Months!!

My sweet, precious angel is 8 months old.  He is basically the easiest, happiest 8 month old I've ever known (knock on wood).  Benton has the sweetest, calmest demeanor, and we fall more in love with him more each day.

Some updates on Benton Boy (As Haisley calls him)
Teeth:  He has gotten two teeth!  The bottom two, and they are the most precious little teeth I've ever seen!
Eating:  I laugh as I write this because Benton is such a big eater.  He nurses 4 times a day, and basically eats any table food that we are eating.  He still eats some baby food too, but really prefers our food.  I was so different with Haisley's eating.  He has tried chicken, pork, all fruits and veggies, muffins, pasta salad, basically there is nothing that he has turned his nose up to!  We're very thankful for a good eater!
Sleeping:  Benton normally takes about 2 naps a day, but would really prefer 3.  We can just put him in the bed and he goes to sleep.  Much different than Haisley Grace.  The only problem is that he is still getting up 2-3 times per night.  Also different than Haisley.  We have moved his bedtime back until about 7, he'll get up about 2 times, and will be up for the day at 5ish.
Tricks:  Benton is so close to crawling!  I think it will be within a couple of weeks.  This mama is in no hurry, although I think he'll be happier when he can get where he wants to go!  He, like Haisley, is fluent in 3 languages.  I feel like he "talks" more than Haisley did at this age.  I feel like he interacts a lot more than Haisley did at this age as well.  Just this morning he has started sitting up from laying on his belly.  When he does crawl, he is going to be into everything!!
Size:  Unfortunately, our sweet boy has been sick this week with an ear infection.  On the up side, we got his official weight at the doctor!  He weighs 19 pounds!  He is in size 4 diapers, and wears mostly 12 month clothing.
We love you our sweet boy!  Happy 8 months!

Look who is learning to crawl at Lake Guntersville!

Probably not the safest choice.  Makes this mama nervous!

Fun at Daddy's work conference!!
