More Tailgating 2013

We've been trying to take Haisley tailgating as often as we could before Benton arrived.  (We know it gets harder with a newborn)  Haisley has thoroughly enjoyed spending Saturdays with her Nana and Granddaddy!  She still talks about the cheerleaders holding her!!

Such a big girl!!

We don't go far without a snack cup!

Trying on Granddaddy's hat.

Benton's Shower

My sweet friend Ashley and her mom, Debra, threw Benton the most precious shower!  Ash just had sweet baby Anderson and still hosted the shower!  Can you say supermom??? I didn't bring my camera, but Nana did!

The beautiful table setting!

Haisley loving on JJ.  Haisley loved being a part Benton's party!!

Sweet Benton is so blessed to have people who love him so much already!!

(I'm writing this blog post a month late... the shower was September 15.  We welcomed our precious angel boy two days ago.  I am going to update the blog on Benton's arrival soon!!  We are in LOVE)

20 Months

4 Months away from having a two year old.  Oh MY!!  My baby is growing so quickly!  I'm enjoying every stage in a different way!

Haisley Grace has such a big personality.  She can go from a happy funny love bug to being a tart in a matter of seconds.  She is a strong willed little thing, and will definately let you know when she doesn't like how something is being done.  These days she loves helping me cook (while yelling "I taste, I taste"), she loves watching me color,  and she loves playing with her doll Emma.  Every night before we put her in bed, we have to stand at the window and say night night to all of the animals, then we stop at the picture of her in the hallway and say night night to baby Haisley.  For some reason this calms her down.  We always pray, and then I tell her I love her and that she is my favorite baby girl.  She LOVES this, and sometimes beats me to saying it!
Other updates on the angel:
Eating-She is finally slowing down on the eating.  She is much more picky than she was a month ago.  Her appetite seems to change daily.  Her favorites these days oatmeal (or, oatmilk, as she describes it), cheese, raisins, crackers, pickles, and anything sweet.  Mark and I are not picky at all so I am hoping that she outgrows this little phase.  All I can do it keep offering healthy choices!
Teeth-We're hoping those eye teeth will come on in.  She has fussy days when I know they are bothering her because she bites on her fingers.  Other than eye teeth that haven't come in yet, she has 12 total.
Sleeping-Knock on wood, but for the last two weeks she has been taking two hour naps!  She is ready to nap by about 11:30 everyday.  It does not matter what time she goes to bed, she is going to be up at 5 am.  Yelling, "Mommy, mommy."  She still doesn't get out of her bed (which we are so thankful for), and Mark usually goes and gets her and brings her in the bed with us.  We always have high hopes that she will go back to sleep but she usually doesn't.  She usually lays in bed and tells us what she wants to eat for breakfast!
Size-She is still in size three diapers but are about to go up to size 4 diapers.  She is mostly in size 12 month clothes.  She is in size 4 shoes.
Talking-Haisley Grace basically repeats EVERYTHING that is said.  Even if not right away, she will say it later.  We are very careful of what we say.  She is starting to try to sing, which is just precious!  She says "thank you" most of the time without being reminded.  She also says "your melcome" (welcome)
Some phrases I want to remember:
"Hot tamale"
"Tammy, Mommy be back"- referring to her teacher saying that her mommy will be back to get her from school
"Mommy do it"
"War Eagle"
"Aubie scare me, he scare me"-she completely is putting on because she knows we'll laugh

She keeps us laughing!  Sometimes too much!  She sits in timeout at least once a day!  She is such a joy!  I can't wait to see the sweet baby sister that she is going to be!

The baby has a new found love for pig tails.  She says "I look" whenever I put them in her hair and is not satisfied until i let her look in the mirror.

We celebrated Benton's arrival with a baby shower thrown by sweet Aunt Ashley and Bamama.  Haisley had a ball!

JJ would describe this look as being a wom bom...the girl loves her owl purse!

Fall Festival

Anybody who knows our family knows that we love a family outing!!  This year, Haisley attended her first fall festival.  She was tired, but I think she enjoyed it!

She won a bracelet while fishing!  I'm pretty sure it was lost before we got home!

She loved sitting in the fire truck.

Nana and Granddaddy joined us.

The slinky that she won at the duck pond was probably her favorite toy.

Because of the rain on the 4th of July, the fireworks were rescheduled for the same night as the Fall Festival.  That girl loves some fireworks!  We went home after the festival, let Haisley eat, and changed her into her PJs.  We went to get ice cream, a real treat for her, and found the perfect place to park to see the fireworks.  She got a glimpse of a painting of Aubie in the rearview mirror and spent most of the night waving to him saying, "Hey buddy."  So precious!

37 Weeks

We had another checkup for Benton on Wednesday and everything still looked good!  We had an ultrasound and NST.  The ultrasound showed that he had a lot of hair, was head down, and weighed approximately 6 lbs, 15 oz (the same that Haisley weighed when she was born).  The lady who did the ultrasound said that we could expect him to gain about half a pound a week.  I was 2.5cm dilated and still 70% effaced.  We go back Wednesday for another checkup!

Lastest on Benton

Yesterday we had a weekly appointment with an NST.  Everything looked great.  I feel him move so much more than I did Haisley.  I have had a few episodes of contractions, which I never had with Haisley.  Those things really hurt! This pregnancy has been completely different than my first!! I was 35 weeks, 6 days, 2 cm and 70% effaced.  Dr. Alverson will probably induce me October 10 or October 15.  We can't wait to meet our precious baby boy!  We are so blessed and thankful!!

Tailgating 2013

I am about 15 months pregnant (actually 8.5 months) and we had the great idea to trek across Alabama from our house to the tailgate spot.  Of course the queen was comfy in her chariot, which is all the really matters, but it was HOT!

Cousin Presley and his family were going to join us, but Uncle got called in unexpectedly to work.  Maybe next time!  At least he got to sit in the chariot.

Our camera did not make the journey with us, but luckily Nana had hers once we got there!

My baby's hair is getting so long!

All of the tailgating wears a girl out!!

To say that she enjoyed looking at everything is a gross understatement!!
