Easter 2015

We had such a wonderful Easter this year.  It was low key and we really got to talk to Haisley about the real meaning of Easter!  The day before Easter we dyed eggs.  The kids stayed interested for about 5 seconds.  Luckily, I had only boiled 5 eggs!

We started Easter morning by seeing what the Easter bunny brought.  Daddy made us cinnamon rolls, we went to church, then had Amanda's family over to eat and hunt eggs.  So much fun!  Haisley wore a dress from when I was a baby and Benton wore one of Mark's outfits, it was so special!  We are so blessed and thankful for our risen Savior!!

Haisley's Easter Chapel

Haisley's preschool had the most precious Easter Chapel, Easter Egg Hunt and picnic.  She was so precious and did a GREAT job during her special songs!  She loved hunting Easter eggs too!

Of course I had to get a picture of this little cutie too!

A few other random pictures....
She really wanted to hold his hand.

Sweet Babies

My little St Patrick's Day cuties!!!

Update on Baby Burnette #3

We had an ultrasound of our precious bundle of joy today!  It is always good and reassuring to get to see that sweet little heartbeat.  We already love this little love bug so much.  I am 18 weeks and just starting to feel the baby move.  We're pretty confident that this is our last baby, and I am enjoying every little kick I can feel.  Everything looked pretty good on the ultrasound.  The ultrasound tech did notice that the baby's stomach was not as dilated as she would like to have seen.  This could be for a number of reasons.  Either the fluid was absorbed by the intestines just before the tech looked at it, there could have been shallow breathing because the baby was sleeping, or there might be a blockage.  We go back next week for another ultrasound.  Depending on what that shows, we might need to go to UAB for more ultrasounds.  While the unknown and what ifs are never fun, we are trusting that the Lord is going to take care of our sweet baby!  We are so excited to meet you, sweet little one!  We are already praying for you daily!

Benton Boy is 17 Months

My Benton Boy is 17 months old.  I feel like his personality has come out so much this month.  He is truly into EVERYTHING!  Just the other day I left him alone for a minute and he was literally hanging from the chandelier in the kitchen.  He is so happy and full of life.  He keeps this pregnant momma moving!  He goes to CDO twice a week just so I can sit down!

Some updates on the love bug:
Teeth~We're still waiting on his last eye tooth to pop through.  That teething business is so fun and I am hoping we are over the worse of it.

Talking~Although Benton is not talking as much as Haisley was, he is definitely moving in that direction!  He can say bird, ball, momma, dada, thank you, and attempts to say multiple other words.  It is a matter of time before he says even more!

Eating~Benton boy likes to eat!  He loves just about any type of meat.  He also loves most vegetables.  His favorite breakfast foods are probably sausage and muffins.  He is still drinking breastmilk, but we will out of that by the end of the week (tear).  I have a fe eling is going to like whole milk.  Benton is also eating wonderfully with a fork.

Size~He is about 25 lbs, wears size 5 diapers, and 18-24 month clothing.  He is growing by leaps and bounds!  He wears a size 5.5 shoe.

Tricks~As I mentioned earlier, our baby is a climber.  He literally climbs all day (see pictures below).  He is excellent at throwing balls.  He loves reading, but can only sit still for a short time.  He also likes swinging while sitting in mommy or daddy's lap.

We love you more than you'll ever know sweet boy.  You bring so much excitement and joy to our lives!  Your sweet smile and dimples light up the room!

Haisley is such a great big sister to you.  She is constantly looking out for you and telling mommy when you start climbing or get into something you shouldn't!  See below, She is feeding you some yogurt and making sure your face stays clean.

You are very sad and pitching a fit that your food wasn't ready!

#3 Checkup

We had a check up for our sweet #3 last week and everything still looked good!   We got to hear the heartbeat,  the best sound ever to this momma.   The heart rate was 156.  I am finally starting to feel a little better these days.   No more morning sickness,  just exhausted!   Not sure that is going to change chasing my two around.   My only problem is sleeping!   As busy as I am during the day, it is really difficult for me to sleep.  I just lay in bed and relax and am so thankful I am not up nursing all night yet!  We can't wait to meet you sweet baby #3.  We love you so much already!
