Thanksgiving Feast!

Haisley and Benton are both so blessed to have wonderful Preschool and CDO teachers.  Benton had a big Thanksgiving snack.  Haisley was dressed like a precious little Indian and sang 2 songs!  So sweet!

Benton Boy is 13 Months

My baby is 13 months old!!  Time is FLYING!!  His little personality is coming out more each day!  We are over the moon for you, precious one!  Benton is so adventurous, independent, a climber, sweet, snugly, and easy going.  Some updates on our little guy....

Sleeping:  Sleeping is going pretty good.  We put him down around 7 and he sleeps okay.  A couple of weeks ago he cut 3 molars, and sleeping was a NIGHTMARE.  He was up all night every night.  Since then, he has settled back into his routine of waking up around 4.  Sometimes he goes back to sleep, sometimes not.  He still takes 2 naps a day, except when he goes to CDO.  We forgo his morning nap and just take his afternoon nap.  I am in NO RUSH to do away with that afternoon nap.

Teeth:  As I mentioned earlier, he cut 3 molars a couple of weeks ago. 11 teeth total.

Eating:  This little guy doesn't play when it comes to food.  He still gets breastmilk in a sippy cup.  He is a wonderful eater and only dislikes block cheese.  Crazy, right??  He'll come around!  His absolute favorite food is strawberries.  We have started buying them at Sam's Club because we go through so many. 

Tricks:  Benton is full blown walking, I would venture to say that he is running!  He is a fast little guy.  He is an excellent climber and into EVERYTHING.  I have my hands full.  He normally has no less than one bruise on his head at any given time. 

Talking:  He is excellent at saying Momma.  That's about it, he's not a big talker thus far. 

We love you sweet angel.   We are so blessed that you are in our family!

 

Carving Our Pumpkin

So if we're being real, the kids were so uninterested in carving the pumpkin that most of these pictures were staged.  Benton much preferred going down the slide, and Haisley wanted to play with the knives.  I think next year, I'll just let them paint the pumpkins!!  Anyways, here are some pictures to enjoy our day by!

We tried to put Benton in the pumpkin like we did Haisley....it did not work!!  Not only did he hate it, but he didn't fit!  At least we have pictures to prove it!

Halloween 2014

We had a very eventful Halloween week!  Although are not huge fans of the Halloween holiday, the kids had a ball dressing up!!  We started on Thursday with Fall Parties in the kids' classrooms.  Haisley was an ice cream cone and Benton was a monkey.  They looked so very precious!!

Thursday night we went with some friends to a Halloween party!  

Friday morning, we went to the architecture building to watch all of the college students carve pumpkins.  To be honest, the kids weren't that amused!  Maybe they will enjoy it more in a few years!

Lastly, we went trick-or-treating...the grand finale!  Haisley LOVED it and had most of her candy eaten by the time we got home.  Something that I would not have allowed  2 years ago.  Times change when you have 2 babies!!
